One afternoon OMSI offered face painting.  Alexa sat so still and moved her head as instructed.  She was so proud of her face paint.  I see many whisker days ahead.

I promised Alexa she could have whiskers for our potluck with friends on Labor Day.  I knew the group would be adults and she would be bored - somehow whiskers helped to ease the boredom.  Besides, Patty's yard has lots of hidden suprises (little statues, pinwheels, etc) so Alexa spent her time finding all the other cats in the yard.

This video looks back on the last three years - I can't believe she's almost 3 years old!

On August 25th Alexa and I went on a little road trip. We drove to Hood River and then boarded an old steam engine train that took us through the valley along Hood River and then up a long hill to Odell. In Odell there is a great view of Mt. Hood. The weather was clear. Alexa loves trains - anything Thomas. Come and enjoy the trip with us.

Last year, while working swing shift, I would take Alexa to Family Gym at the YMCA. As you'll see in the video, she always had a terrific time.
